Public Service Announcement: Don’t buy a leather briefcase from Tiger of Sweden.
The pictured bag is less than two years old. It has been used to transport a computer, and perhaps some books, to work and back, plus for the occasional trip. Yet, it has failed in multiple ways:
- Shoulder strap metal connector snapped, sending my computer tumbling to the ground.
- Bottom supporting leather was too weak and has broken (three out of four corners so far).
- Front zipper often opens itself from the wrong end.
- Leather thingy for main zipper broke off.
The model is still available for purchase, and casual observation suggests that it’s somewhat popular. My recommendation: don’t buy one.
(A harder PSA to come up with, however, is what to get instead…)
